At Quality Equipment Management (QEM), we believe strong partnerships are built on more than projects and performance. They’re built on people.
Recently, that belief was on full display when Anne Eberhart, QEM Operations Manager for Tractor Supply Company, and Jessica Ramirez, Account Specialist, drove several hours to attend a very special milestone: the MBA graduation of Janet Reyes, a valued partner and colleague at Tractor Supply.
Janet, originally from Cuba, recently earned her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in International Business from Belmont University’s Massey Graduate School of Business. For Anne, attending the ceremony was a simple but meaningful decision.
“As a mother myself,” Anne shared, “I realized Janet might not have many family members in the stands cheering her on. As her friend, I wanted her to know that she has a family here too, and that we were honored to celebrate such a huge accomplishment with her.”
That small gesture reflects something deeply rooted in QEM’s culture, the belief that business relationships should be grounded in genuine care and connection.
A Milestone Built on Discipline and Vision
While working full-time in corporate retail, Janet completed her MBA with a focus on strengthening her strategic and analytical skills.
“This degree aligns directly with my current role and long-term career goals,” Janet shared. “My work involves cross-functional retail initiatives that require strategic thinking, financial analysis, and operational alignment. My MBA strengthened those skills significantly.”
Janet pursued the degree to expand beyond her undergraduate background in Fashion Merchandising, gaining deeper expertise in corporate strategy, finance, supply chain, and global business operations.
Her long-term vision is even broader.
“I aspire to work in global strategy and international policy, potentially even diplomatic service. Studying International Business gave me a global lens for understanding markets, trade systems, and cross-cultural leadership.”
The Discipline Behind the Achievement
Balancing graduate school while maintaining full-time professional responsibilities required tremendous discipline.
“The most valuable lesson I gained is that discipline compounds,” Janet explained. “There were demanding deadlines, presentations, and exams while working full time, but choosing consistency over comfort builds confidence. Sustainable success comes from disciplined daily effort.”
Janet credits her support system for helping her navigate the journey.
“My mentors, colleagues, professors, and friends became my community. Being away from my extended family made those relationships even more important.”
She also credits her mother for providing encouragement from afar.
“My mother has always modeled resilience and faith. Even from a distance, her belief in me gave me strength during the most challenging moments.”
Celebrating Success Together
For Janet, seeing colleagues and professional partners show up to celebrate her achievement made the moment even more meaningful.
“Having colleagues recognize this milestone reminded me that growth doesn’t happen in isolation. Their support made it feel like both a personal and professional victory.”
That spirit of celebration and support is exactly what QEM strives to bring to every partnership.
Families Serving Families
At QEM, the mission of “families serving families” extends far beyond construction projects or operational support. It’s about showing up for people in the big moments and the small ones.
Anne and Jessica’s presence at Janet’s graduation is a reminder that meaningful partnerships are built through trust, encouragement, and genuine care for one another’s success.
Because at the end of the day, the work we do is important, but the relationships we build along the way matter even more.
